Salt City Succulents mission is to leverage planter design, color and texture to create a succulent planter that will endure for your enjoyment. A planter designed to weather the temperature fluctuations of Utah’s mountain valley extremes and moisture types.

Planter Design

We create concrete planters for succulents that are different and interesting in design, color, and surface texture. Part of enjoying succulents is having a unique container to showcase the beauty of the succulent plants. Our mission is to manufacture planters that mesh design, color, and surface texture right here in Utah.

Color

Color is a huge part of design. A person could spend a life time developing an understanding and using color to create designs. Succulents have a huge range of colors depending on plant species.  We use the succulents color ranges and pair them with a corresponding planter to balance the arrangement. Salt City Succulents uses a variety of succulent zone types in our planters. Zones 4 or 5 will tolerate the extreme temperature ranges in the Salt Lake valley. Tropical varieties seem to have a broader range of colors. These type of succulents are great for taking indoors when the temperatures drop.

Texture

Concrete has a huge versatility range. It can appear soft and smooth by polishing the surface or it can be gritty and rough like a granite rock. Salt City Succulents has a range of planters but one thing we like to do is bring out the aggregate and polish the rims of our planters. By doing this we are able to show off this hidden surface and add another unique quality of using concrete as a material for designing planters.
